Hi!  I'd like to join, if you guys don't mind. :-) I started Alli on June 6th, and some support from people dedicated to this lifestyle change would be great! Plus, having a target day in mind and some people to answer to if I get off course would be unbelievably motivating! :-) I started Alli at 151 and have lost 4 pounds since then.  My goal is 125 (where I was before my kids), and I'm hoping to get there by Thanksgiving.  Good luck to you!

Re: a race to live....labor day challenge

Whooo Hoooo  the race is on.  Ladies lace up those tennis shoes and hit the pavement.  Don't forget to strecth.  I was late in the last race.  I am ready to knock out some lbs!!  We can do this.....I love these challenges they really help to make you focus knowing there is someone else out there doing the same thing.  It's AWESOME!! So here is a toast to healthy eatting, working out, and being the best we can be.  Lot's of deep breaths and hopefully lots of lbs gone.

    Big hugs to all,

    Kimberley

Re: a race to live....labor day challenge

Hey, ladies! Looks like it's the first check-in day for the challenge.  Unfortunately, I stayed the same this week. :-(  So that's a big 0 loss for me.

I think my problem was that I wasn't eating enough calories.  I was getting between 1300-1400 but the Alli recommended for my activity level is 1800. I'll give that a try and see what next week brings.  I hope the rest of you had a better week!  Good luck! :) Valerie

Re: a race to live....labor day challenge

     Hey Gals:

I lost 2 lbs so far.  Thankfully I am now able to move about more since my surgery.  I can only walk a half mile a day right now, but that will get better and better with time and determination.  I suppose being so inactive after my surgery  and then finally being able to walk a little made the 1st 2 lbs come off quickly.  I sure hope I can keep up this pace.  Good luck to everyone.

Re: a race to live....labor day challenge

Welcome to all newcomers.............Looks like everyone had a great week...Great job!!! I think I'm finally breaking thru this awful plateau that lasted for close to 5 weeks...aghhh. I lost 1.8 lbs this week..yippee!!!....jolly, my moms reaction was very uplifting.....I was tanned and wearing black shorts and a snug tank top, and as soon as she saw me, her first words were....."Oh my God.....you look great!!!...wow!!!......what a nice figure you have.." And she just went on and on.....(Thank God for moms....lol). It was a great feeling...it reassured me that I did accomlplish quite a bit since January. She will be here for 2 more weeks and then back home to Florida.

Stay positve and healthy...have a great week!
