Its been a full week since I started Alli

I currently have been working out 2 times a day for the past 3 months in addition to weight watchers for the past month or so. I started Alli @ 171lbs - I am 5'5 1/2 with an athletic build . I played soccer for too long and my legs have formed that thick soccer leg syndrome. It was great when I played but now I am trying to get into a different career and slim down and I need that extra help. I watch what I eat; I dont do sweets, fast food, red meat or snacks. Ive heard and seen so many people have such good results with Alli so I decided to give it a shot. If this works for me, then I plan on using it for life. Wish me luck!!

YEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!! Renea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Hip Hip Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   You get "atta-girl" points for starting!...I started last Wednesday, so its not been a week yet...one day away. But I weigh in at Weight Watchers on Saturday mornings at 7 am. One scale in my life!..LOL...So, tell me how this week went?..What all did you eat, how many points are you staying with on WW? I have 22. Boy they go fast! I lost one on Saturday cause I dropped to the 170's, which takes away a point..dang it...lol...I was 202 in March, and now 178, but only started Alli last week. I was at a non loosing area for some reason. So, I got help, we will see if it works for me on Saturday. Good Luck and stay in touch.

Re: Its been a full week since I started Alli

Hi Karleye- thank you for the enthusiam and support. I get 23 points from WW which you are right, it's not enough! I pretty much kind of eat the same thing but I am a really big seafood person. I'll put shrimp or real snow crab meat in my salad, I pretty much ate that 3 times last week for dinner. I also put tuna in my sald with fat free dressing. I do grapes for a snack or just eat tuna by itself. However, when I eat it by itself I do put a little Helmans, I try not to go over board but I make sure I take my pill before I eat anything. I try my best to eat breakfast because I work out @ 1pm and typically dont eat until I get back @ 2. Ill either do a oat cluster cereal and I treat myself 1 day a week with an egg Mcmuffin with OJ. I don't do bacon, sausage, red meat, sweets or soda and I drink a lot of water during the day.... I can tell you that last week when I weighed myself I was 171 and today I weighed myself (which I was supposed to wait until friday) and I am 167 so Im very optimistic. I havent been past 170 for months so it's very encouraging to see the scale agree with how my clothes have been fitting. But I do have to tell you, I work out for about 30-45 mins during lunch and then I go back again after work for 45mis. Ive been doing this everyday for 3 months. Its very exhausting but its worth it! I also stopped drinking wine.... Thank you and Good luck to you too!

Re: Its been a full week since I started Alli

Sounds like you're off to a good start, Renea!  Congrats!  I started my low cal/low fat lifestyle change (no more 'diets') on 6/30 and started taking my alli on the 4th of July.  Just with changing my foods, I lost 3 - 4 pounds without alli, but since adding alli, I have lost 8 pounds and it hasn't even been 2 weeks yet.  My first official check-in with alli is this Saturday (7/12).  I am so excited.  This is not nearly as hard as I thought it would be.  I'm actually enjoying making better, healthier food choices.  I even turned down some cake and cookies over the past couple of days simply because I didn't want to waste calories (and fat) on such small treats.

I had a huge dinner last night (7/8) that was absolutely wonderful.  I had baked cod fish (8 oz of it too), asparagus, 1/2 cup of whole grain brown rice, and a sweet potato.  The whole meal was less than 500 calories and very little fat.  (I still took the alli though.)  Anyway, it's meals like that that make me want to stay the course.  This is wonderful!  I am so thankful to the help that alli is providing, but I also appreciate my own efforts too.  I've been walking a lot (for a hour most of the time).  Next week I think I'm going to do the elliptical machine, plus I have a bicycle that I've come to love to ride.

Anyway, this is getting long.  I wish you continued success.
