Starting this week; really nervous about TE though!!!

I purchased my starter pack today.  I will be starting the pills Friday night when I get in from work.  I'm really nervous about taking the first one because of TE.  I have been doing WW since February.  I lost 15 lbs.  I've back slide the last few weeks though and gained back 5 lbs.  I decided to add Alli in to my program so I have the accountability factor and will not be able to stray from my plan.  I knew a guy who took the full prescription strength when it first came out and he had horrible TE!!!  I try to eat low fat or fat free now so that shouldn't be that big of an adjustment.  The giving up Mexican food will be the hardest.

A question I had is do I need to lower my fiber intake?  I eat Fiber One bars for breakfast sometimes and didn't know if the fiber would gas excess gas along with Alli.

     Hi Melissa69ky,

Most people who take Alli do not experience treatment effects.  They are managed by the amount of fat you are eating at each meal. If you stay near your target or below there should be no problems.  You do not need to stop your fiber, high fiber foods or supplements actually help reduce the chances of treatment effects.

    Hope this helps.
