    1st Weigh in! 7/15

Last time i weighed myself I was at 195lbs. Today I woke up and weighed myself. It says 182lbs. So that's 13 lbs. I don't feel like it's right, even though i weighed myself on 2 scales. I'm so proud at myself. I work in the food bussiness and I haven't given in to fatty foods!!!!  I just need to push the exercise a little more.

How was everyone else's first weigh in?

    Re: 1st Weigh in! 7/15

    Congrats, roguegreenstarz!

You're off to a great start.  Today was my 2nd weigh-in.  I lost 4 pounds this week, making a total of 12 pounds lost.  I feel great.  This week, I was able to increase my exercise from 3 times a week to 4 times a week.  I am now strong enough to do a solid hour on the elliptical machine.  I am so excited!  I have read that you have to change up your exercise routine every couple of weeks in order to keep the weight loss moving.  That is because our bodies are so efficient that after a couple of weeks of doing the same exercise for the same length of time each time, weight loss will slow signficantly.  (Our bodies get used to the same muscles being used and calories being burned.)  That said, last week walking was my choice of exercise.  This week, the elliptical machine.  Next week will either be bike riding or Leslie Sansone's walking aerobic DVDs.  I haven't decided yet.  One night this week, I was so busy that I didn't have time to exercise, but I was still determined.  So at about 11:30 at night, I got up and did an hour of aerobics with Leslie Sansone.  Imagine that!  I would not be defeated, and I'm so glad!

So today I rewarded my self with a new pair of shoes....well ok, 4 new pairs of shoes and a handbag.  But at least my rewards are calorie and fat-free!  lol

Keep up the great work!  Here's to the new us!

    Re: 1st Weigh in! 7/15

My1st weigh in was Suday 7-20 and I am down 4.5 lbs and THRILLED that it is working.  I love swimming and did 34 laps yesterday.  Between swimming and the weight training, I hope to keep on the losing path (or course the eating is a big thing too).  So far, so good.  Good luck to you all!!
