    Re: Alli 3x a day

Hello. If you skip a meal, you should skip an alli. You should not take more than one capsule at a time - and you should wait at least 2 hours between doses. This is to help prevent treatment effects. It is best to eat 3 meals a day to avoid being very hungry and going overboard when you finally do eat. Also, eating several, smaller meals helps keep you metabolism going.

So if you are only eating 2 meals per day, you should only be taking 2 meals per day.

    Best of health!

Hello, I would like an answer from the Moderator on this question.  I read that there is a prescription-strength Alli which is equivalent to taking TWO capsules of Alli with each meal.  Is this true?  I thought Alli was only available as over-the-counter.  If it is true that prescription strength is in use, what criteria is used to determine if a person needs to take the prescription strength doses instead of the normal dosage?

    Re: Alli 3x a day

    Hi,

Xenical, the 120mg orlistat prescription formulation is indicated for use by obese patients whose weight loss needs to be under the supervision of a physician.  Allii the 60mg over-the-counter formulation indicated for use by healthy overweight adults.

    Hope this helps.
