    home recipes

Hi, is there a web site where I can plug in my own recipes and get the nutritional information for that recipe?  I really like to cook, and use many hand-me-down recipes.  Thanks !

    Re: home recipes

I've looked for stuff like that but not had much luck.  Usually, I'll take my recipes and figure out the fat/calories in each ingredient, add it all together, and then divide by how many servings it makes.  It can be a little time-consuming, but it's worth it.  Check out www.calorie-count.com. You can get nutritional information on just about any ingredient. Good luck.

    Re: home recipes

Hi, thanks for the info.  I found this web site does have recipe analysis.  I can type in my recipes, and get the nutrition information.  It also has another area where I can put in my daily food plan and get a calorie count, and health analysis  for the day.  It also offers suggestions for healthier choices if poor choices have been made.  I think I'll really like this web site. Thanks again!!

    Re: home recipes

There are several sites like the one already mentioned.  I recommend doing a Google or Yahoo search for "recipe analysis" some charge a fee (and provide more) and others are free.  It's worth checking out a few as you may feel the fee suits your needs a little better.

    I hope this helps.
