    Question about caloric intake.

    Hello,  I noticed that in your plans and guides that a woman who weighs 145+ on moderate activity should eat 1800+ calories a day.  I currently weight 320 pounds, and that's 175 pounds more than a person who weighs 145 pounds.  Shouldn't a person who's that heavy have a higher caloric intake with moderate activity or is 1800 standard?  Will I then lose more weight than someone who is 145 pounds?  Thanks.

    That's a good question.  There is no standard for the calorie and fat levels.  The guides try to take into account the general public, but the recommendations from the alli Personal Calculator are the best to follow.  That's because they are developed according to the specific information an individual provides.

    If you decide to use alli you'll be given a code (in the Starter Kit) to register for the myalliplan, and the Personal Calculator is in that section.

    The more weight someone has to lose the faster they will always lose (that's physics:  It takes more energy (calories) to move a 300-pound object than 150 pounds.  The weight loss will taper off and settle into a slow steady weight loss until goal is reached.
