I would love to start alli but it is so expensive that i can't afford it. I bet there are others out there with the same problem I also believe it would be used by the general public if the price was lower. the economy is really hurting people right now with gas and food prices going up, this company doesn't make it very easy to use their product.

 I disagree.  Price is relative. I had to decide how much I was worth.  Considering all the education and support that Alli offers, I feel that this is a bargain. If Alli cut costs they would not be able to run this essential support website.  My opinion is that the weight loss is not from the pills.... but rather from the education and support that goes along with it.

 Oh okay I understand, we really don't need the product it just goes back to diet and exercise and will power. The product itself really has no affect, they just teach you to eat right and exercise which most people already  know how to do, thanks because i was really looking for something to curb my hunger glad I didn't waste my money. I'll let others know----thank you so much.

 I very much disagree, alomost evry week one of the strarter packs are always on sale, jenny craig,nutrisystem, there progams are about 300 a month, and online their is always a coupon to print for ten bucks off , its not just a box of pills. You receive a journal, a pill holder,a fat and calorie guide and free online supporter! (With weight watchers that about 70 a month)You have to decied if you dont pay $40.00 now for a starter kit and stay obese you will pay alot more down the line for blood pressure pills,chlostorol medication, and not to mention how easy it is for obese people to get diabetes. Are you worth $40.00. I know i am!

 Another thing to consider:  how much do we spend on overeating?  Running through McD's or another fast food restaurant, or picking up prepared items?  Or how about the stop at Dairy Queen, for yourself and the kids?  Eating well and eating less balances out the cost of the product over time.............. 

At least for me, not stopping by the DQ or other places in not only good for me but for my daughter too - it doesn't hurt her to learn healthy choices now, with the occasional 'treat' versus 'fast, fat and now" dining.

 A 30 day supply of Alli is less than $1.75 a day. If you eat a low fat breakfast (less than 5 grams of fat) the pills will last an extra 15 +/- days, which brings the cost down to less than $1.25 a day.

That's less than a cup of coffee at your favorite coffee house.

 I did have to push some things around in my budget, but it has been 100% worth it. If just diet, exercise and willpower was doing it for me, I would not have turned to alli. And if just diet, exercise and willpower was doing it for someone else, they be not be looking at pills to take and posting messages in the forums for alli users. As for the cost of the product, I don't know how much manpower, time, research and development alli took at what price. Nor do I know the cost of the extensive support system that we get with it and salaries to maintain it, and pay the specialists that are helping us. A serious inquiry of this nature would be made to the corporate alli office where the people at alli would have financial information. Or are the companies making products supposed to provide them to everyone as a welfare entitlement program? That would be ridiculous. Ditto to all the posts above about why the price is worth paying and discussing the comparative cost of the choice to keep on in an unhealthy lifestyle.

 The statement that the product itself really has no effect indicates a person who's discernment process did not include the all important step of checking the facts. The material online and printed (and the ads too) states very clearly, repeatedly and openly that alli blocks some of the fat eaten so that weight loss is faster than if dieting alone. And that it is on top of a plan that introduces one to a healthy, sustainable way to eat that one can follow and practice for a lifetime. There is also the benefit of choosing not to over indulge in fatty foods because of the consequences of doing so, encouraging one to fill up on healthy foods an therefore reinforcing healthy eating habits.

Guess it all comes down to - how much if your life worth to you?  Alli is worth every penny ... not only for the pill but for the support we get here.  Watching my food intake alone/by myself would never have put me down 30 lbs !!

 I'm not complaining about the cost but I sure would like to know where you get it for $40.00.  Walmart in Texas and also in llinois is 59.95 plus tax.

yes you spend on the pills but you do not spend on excess food 

if you use the awesome meal plans you have your shopping list right there, no counting calories or fat or anything!

 You can get the $10 off coupon here on the site (wish I'd known about that!). Here in Nevada the starter pack with 90 pills is $50 at WalMart and that's what I got mine for at Longs, on sale. I know there are some with different amounts of pills and different prices...

 I actually agree with you.  Alli is expensive and that can be a hard thing to get over (I still cringe a little when I think of what I spent), but if this works for me it will be well worth it.  However if it comes to getting a refill or getting my kids shoes, the shoes are going to win (hopefully it won't come to that).

 I agree with you but  I did scrape up the money to get  this product after my doctor suggested it with complete approval over him writing me a prescription. I told my husband that in order to pay for it that I was going to have to squeeze blood out of a turnip but I was going to get it and I did. I've only been taking them and following the program of diet and exercise for 5 days but I'm down 11.8 pounds and feeling great. My goal is to loose a total of 78 pounds and I'm well on my way so I am making changes now to save the money so I can get my refill when I need to. I am focused on loosing 2 pounds a week when I get rid of this what I call water weight and I need as much help as I can get. In my favor the GNC store has the starter kit on sale for $34.99. Like I said I do agree that Alli is expensive because the refill is a lot higher than that but I hope you will be able soon to give it a try because it is as good as my doctor told me it would be.
