Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

     HELP! I'M EATING AND I CAN'T STOP!!!!

OMG! Yesterday was the worst day! I don't know what triggered it but, I COULD NOT STOP EATING.

I think someone took over my hands and mouth. Anything that was within my eye sight was eaten yesterday. I just could NOT control myself. I have not binged one since starting Alli. It was horrible.

I'm paying for it today. While I haven't had any TE's (yet), my stomache feels queasy.

Believe it or not, I took my Alli anyway. Now, I'll play the waiting game and see if I get soundly punished for my transgression.

Just a sample of what I stuffed my face with yesterday:

Little Caeser pepperoni pizza (3 pieces)

chocolate chip cookies - homemade (2)

potato chips (regular, not fat free)

Frito scoops (again, not fat free)

chocolate covered ice cream bar (reduced fat - what an oxymoron that is- LOL!)

I actually logged it all in too. I ate  2200 calories AND 98 (YES, 98) grams of fat yesterday, but, I *think* I'm back on track this morning...

I was doing so well and really thought I was going to see around 145 tomorrow. Now, I highly doubt it. It will be an absolute miracle if I lose ANY weight this week. I was down .6lb, but I didn't even get on the scale this morning to see how much damage I did. Tomorrow will tell the tale. :-(

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

please, please, PLEASE don't beat yourself up over it! It will happen -- what you put down on your list is not an insurmountable amount. Step up your exercise for a few days and see if that helps. Remember to eat small meals more often during the day to help that metabolism kick in.I am ready to start over with phase 2 of my weight loss, though. I started in Jan. with 229 lbs. My current weight is 174 and I need to lose 45 more lbs ( only 5'3''!). I should be almost there by the holidays. Believe me, when you can fit into smaller sizes it is a BIG lift. I tried on ly 10s this morning and I can actually pull them up over my butt!!!!!

    good luck!

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

Deb - I'm sorry you had such a bad day, but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that happens to. We ALL have those kinds of days (mine usually morph into a week!). I can't believe you logged it all in. When I have a day like that I just put a big frowny face in my food journal and turn the page.  Now, I don't know if this is true (the dietician could tell you), but I've heard it takes 3,300 calories to add a pound. You had 2200. So there's a good chance there won't be a huge difference on the scales tomorrow.  If you do have a gain, it will probably be more from the sodium in the chips and scoops. So try to flush your system out w/some extra water today. Most importantly, don't allow yourself to get discouraged.  Just get back on track before it gets out of hand. You've done such a good job, and you are so close to your goal. You can do this!

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

I really don't know what came over me on Saturday.

My plea for HELP! Was a play on the "Help, I've fallen and can't get up" commercial for Life Alert.

I did better yesterday (relatively speaking). I am determined to get totally back on track today.

I had my splurge and am SSOOO done eating the junk for a while. (At least I hope so!)

I didn't have TE's per se, but I have been going to the bathroom on a more frequent basis., not an urgent need to go, just going more often.

Have a great beginning to the week and go drink some water!

P.S. Toni, where are you girl? Everything okay?

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

I have a new favorite snack, and I just had to share it w/you guys.  Any of you who happen to like sweet potatoes will appreciate this.  My neighbor brought over some yam patties for us to try. Oh, my word! They are fabulous. Then I found them in the freezer section at my Walmart. Let me tell you, they are some kind of good! Each one has 70 calories and 0 fat. So 2 of them make a nice snack. I put 1/2 tsp. of Splenda brown sugar on top of each for the last 5 minutes they bake (this makes it 160 calories). If I'm going to have it as a meal I also add 1/2 tsp. of butter to each (this makes it 194 calories and 4g/fat). And it tastes soooo good.

Toni - I'm starting to worry about you. Please check in long enough to let us know you're ok.

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

     Jen,

The sweet potato patties sound great!

The light bulb went on yesterday. My little guy is playing Pop Warner football this year for the first time. Practices are 2 hours long, 5 days a week.

Last night, there were a bunch of people walking laps around the field...Ding, ding, ding...

I could be walking and getting in some exercise that I haven't done since the kids got out of school for summer break.

Tonight I donned my walking shoes as I went out the door and walked for 20 minutes! I'll do that for a couple days and then slowly increase the time, adding 5 minutes every few days. I can tell you my glutes were SCREAMING when I was done tonight.

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

Deb - What a great idea! My exercise routine has definitely suffered as well this summer. I've gotten back into it in the past couple of weeks, but this week I haven't exercised at all--too much going on, and I honestly can't fit it in. I need to do like you and look for opportunities in unexpected places.

All - Today was my weigh in. I hit 147! For the first time in years I actually weigh less than my husband!!!!! Whoohoo! 2 more pounds, and my BMI will hit 25 which is "normal." I can't wait. So far I've lost 31.5 inches.

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

     Way to go Jen!

I got on the scale this morning as well....145.4! (It's isn't my normal weighin day, so I'm not counting it just yet. Hoping it holds until my weighin on Monday.)

It sure does give me an incentive to stay on track so as to have more than a 0.8lb loss as per the past few weeks.

    Lynne? Toni? How goes it?

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

     Hey girls,

Good job on the weight loss girls, way to go !!!  I've been a bit busy this week, having pt in the mornings, I do pool, land and pool so I don't get to spoiled to the pool. I've been having some good sessions and I've been doing great with my eating. Taking alli again with every meal and having healthy snacks in between. I'm hoping for a loss this week. I changed my weigh in day from friday to monday.

I don't know where Toni is but I thought I saw a post on another thread just a few days ago. I'm sure she'll check in soon, I hope !!

I'm getting my new sofa and loveseat tomorrow morning, I'm so excited. The set I bought last May was a lemon and Ashley agreed to let me re-select. I've had problems with this reclining set since the beginning so I asked to exchange it. I went with something totally different, no recliners this time around.

My vacation to darien lake is in 2 weeks and the boys are driving me crazy, how much longer now mommy? OMG, sometimes I think I should keep things a secret until we're ready to walk out the door. I'm actually looking forward to it myself. Haven't been away with my 2 sisters since way before I was married and had kids.

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

Lynne - Sounds like you're back on track. Way to go! Keep up the good work. Congrats on the new furniture too. I know you're really looking forward to your vacation.  We're hoping to get away for a few days at the end of September. We haven't figured out where we're going yet, so my kids keep wanting to know what our plans are. I'm w/you...it doesn't pay to let them know when and where you're going. I know you're going to have a great time w/your sisters.

I know Toni posted on the Labor Day Losers thread, so at least we know she's still kicking. Maybe she's just really busy right now.  I'm sure we'll hear from her soon.

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

     I'm in heaven!

I discovered Lean Cuisine Paninis. They are absolutely wonderful! Local grocery had lean cuisine meals on sale last week 5 for $10, so I decided to buy them to mix it up a bit. I've been buying the WW Smart Ones and the Michelina Lean Gourmets (98 cents in the local grocery, but they're on the small side, portionwise), but the Paninis are to die for!

    I highly recommend them.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying on plan as best they can. I was able to walk 2x for 20 minutes this week during the little guy's practices. That's more exercise than I've gotten all summer!

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

Official weighin for my check in for today was 145.2! I was down to 143.6 on Saturday, but I'll take the 2lb loss, especially since I've been losing less than a lb over the last several weeks.

Hope everyone stayed on track over the weekend and had lots of water.

Re: GIVING UP, WILL STOP ALLI

     good morning girls,

how is everyone? good I hope. Had another check in monday, didn't lose, didn't gain. I thought for sure I would have lost something. I have been doing so well. Oh well, maybe next week. Leaving for darien lake wednesday and I can't wait. we are going to have so much fun, just us sisters and the 4 boys, leaving husbands home.

pt is going well, but I have been having alot of pain the last few days and I'm not sure why. I go see the surgeon on sept. 8th so I'll have to see what he says. I'm not liking that I'm having this sort of pain.

    hope you all are well.
