Help!! Going out to Chili's with in-laws. What to order

Hi I'm VERy nervous about going out to dinner tonight.  It's the first time going out since starting on the pills earlier this week.  I've eaten there many times but never thought about what was healthy before.  I know there is hidden fat in many foods and I know that many times the calorie and fat counts restaurants give are not accurate.  Please help!!  I'm worried I'll choose wrong and have severe TE which I've only had once and would like to keep that way!!!  Thanks for any help.

Re: Help!! Going out to Chili's with in-laws. What to order

Do you know any of the info for The Cheesecake Factory.  I always try to take half of what I order home because their meals are so big, but I'd like to know how many calories and fat.  My work always holds event at The Cheesecake Factory so it's hard for me not to go.

Also do you know about The Melting Pot?  I have not been able to find nutritional information from them either.

    Thanks!

Re: Help!! Going out to Chili's with in-laws. What to order

     Hi:

I finally went to the CF recently as I have tried really hard to avoid anything associated with  "cheesecake". They have a light menu where they can actually tell and print you the nutrional value of the entree.I can't remember the exact name of the salad but it had roasted chicken, corn, rice, and assortment  of peppers and it was super flavorful and huge. So, flavorful I did use the dressing as I am not a big fan of dressings anyway. Also, going on memory I think it was like 14 grams of fat? Again, I asked the waitress about the nutrional and she said she would check and she came back with a receipt size print out of all the information.

    Enjoy but not too much!LOL

Melting Pot must not be a national chain as I couldn't locate anything on it.

I tried posting the link to the site where I get this info - but Alli moderators deleted it.  I am not sure how others get thier posts to stay when they refer to other sites.  They said I was advertising and it's not allowed?

Actually, it is in many states...35-40 I think. It's a fondue place. They have a website which you can easily locate but no nutrition info on it.

Being fondue with cheese dips and chocolate dips I'd say they are a high fat place to eat. There are some healthy options like sea food and chicken and veggies and fruit but the fondue part sends the fat total way up. I've only been there one. It was delicious and pricey (but worth it).
