    Re: 64 lbs Gone

     Hello everyone!

Thank you all for your kind words. I believe I have hit somewhat of a plateau..:( . I have currently lost 75 lbs. Which I know it still great, but I guess I had another number in my head. I started this wearing a tight size 24 and I am now in a loose size 16. That in itsself to me, is fantastic. I went and bought myself a little black dress in a size 14 to wear out a date with my husband. I recently just ordered some Billy Blanks DVD's, and will start those as soon as they get here.

Several of you all hae asked me how often I exercise and what I eat..so here is just a sample.

Exercise 5-6 days a week. 30 minutes on cardio and 45 minutes on abs/leg combo or abs/arms

Breakfast:egg white omelette (with  mushrooms, onions, spinach) or Weight Control Oatmeal with some fruit

Lunch:turkey sandwich on wheat( I have to have mayo, so I use Light miracle whip). or I eat subway

dinner: lean meat and veggie..always a salad

if I wanted a snack I would have a 100 calories snack or sugar free fudgecicle.

By no means do you need to think that I have never slipped. I have a BIG weakness for sushi. I think I have to eat it at least once a week.

If I can give you anymore information, by all means, just ask.

    Re: 64 lbs Gone

     hi all

I haven't been on the message boards for a while and this is the first thread i have read and I am so glad i did. Congratulations to you on your weight loss so far and your continued efforts and especially your notes to this board. I also started alli in March after an extreme (what i now know was a) gall bladder attack. I had thought about alli and purchased almost a year earlier and waited until the perfect time to start alli. I wish i would have started when i bought it as the TE's were my fear and they were nothing like the media has projected. I was fine and still am just starting to take the pills whether i had three good days or not i couldn't make it the three days so i thought i could not start alli... I am responding not only to congratulate but to tell my story briefly for those who don't lose so much in the same length of time.

    sw 203--march 2008

    cw 180-sept 2008

I am 5 ft 2  and 43 yrs young so that weight on me was heavy heavy on my middle and i was miserable. my highest weight ever. I have tried to lose this weight to get back down to around 150 for almost the 8 years since my last child  my  son was born. I was there briefly but gained back to a higher weight than before  i started a diet each time.

Alli was and is my saving grace. I love the name they chose for this pill as it truly is my alli(a helper) After losing this 23 pounds and not feeling like I want to quit now is a freeing feeling. I know and believe i can get to my goal. I have not gained during this period but have just been a really slow loser as usual for me. I go to tops meetings and weigh weekly and have had 3 tiny gains since march (they announced it last week for some reason). that is a milestone for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a break through yesturday.  I am finally in a size 14 pants , I went to kohls and hit there 80 % off racks and tried on and bought a  few jean capri that are size 14. not the stretchy kind i usually had to wear for my waist is unusually large and so is my top half(UGH).

I am in heaven with no plans to go back to my old habits but continuing on with alli to my goal of  sz 10 (148 lbs) or less as i am a shorty apparently and could go to a size 8 (ugh not sure about that.). I want to be happy and content  with food and my size  not stress about my weight ever again.I want to be healthy and eat better. oh and the thing about the gall bladder attach. I didn't know what happened to me in March that was painful i went to emergency but when i got there the pain went away mysteriously and so i left and didn't get checked out. well i had another one of those attacks last week end (camping no less ) and suffered through it again. found out from my sister the next morning what it was and perhaps i should go to the hospital next time. (gall bladder attack, egads). PAINFUL. stomach feels like giant basketball and pain is almost unbearable but of course(I have too  high a tolerance for pain as two babies with no drugs not by choice but they came too quick) and so i suffered through it all as before it went away and didn't know what it was. anyway long story short. EATING HIGH FAT  over the weekend(homemade mac and cheese, and cheese dip are too fat for me anyway) so another reason to stick with lowfat and alli as fat is not good for your body.

I love your story and keep posting. I am so happy for you. and anyone reading who doesn't lose so fat it is ok ,everyone is different  If i try to lose too fast and be perfect i quit. i feel alli gives me a helping hand  but i still have to make choices, I have no intentions to quit. I don't do alli at three meals , sometimes i don't eat meals and that is one of my problems but i am working on this for a lifestyle not any one way. I feel i can get to goal and when i do i will not have alli forever so i only use alli for two meals and some days not at all but i eat low fat those days. anyway just trying to get to  where i want to be one step at a time.

    love you all
