Alli and vitamins, supplements and Lipitor

The instructions say to take your vitamins and supplements in the evening.

However, I normally take an Alli pill mainly at dinner time around 5-6PM  and sometimes in the afternoon

around 1PM  I do not take an Alli pill in the morning

I am also on 10 mg Lipitor daily which I normally take around 8PM

I  have been taking a multivitamin and other supplements eg. Calcium, C, E, B-100 and Omega 3 in the morning because I don't take an alli at that time (I know the instructions say to take vitamins at bedtime)

Should I stay with this routine of vitamins in the morning and my Lipitor in the evening  Does the alli do  anything to the effectiveness of the Lipitor?

    Thank yo for your advice

Re: Alli and vitamins, supplements and Lipitor

Hello. What you have been doing is actually fine. The recommendation to take the multivitamin at bedtime is so it is as far away from alli as possible to allow for maximum absorption. If you are not taking an alli in the morning, taking your multivitamin in the morning is fine. alli will not affect the absorption of Lipitor - you can take that anytime.

alli really only affects the absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins - A, D, E and K, and fat-based supplemetnts like omega 3 oils and flaxseed oil. Those should be separated from alli by at least 2 hours.

Hope this helps! Best of luck on the alli plan.
