    Medication hurting my weight loss.

I am desperate and need losing weight help. I am currently on my 2nd bottle Alli plan, I lost some weight, but my meds

interfere with my weight loss. I eat healthy and I don't have treatments on the plan. I lost weight the first month but, last week I put all but 4 lbs back on. I take Cymbalta, Elavil, Eterdiol, Lisonpril, Neurontin, Enablex, Amirex, magnesium, Malic Acid and Multi-Vitamins.

I have limitations to exercising. I have neck, back, wrist and knew injuries.... along with Fibromalgia. I desperately need help... I am so frustrated I am crying and ashamed to get dressed because everything I own is too small now.

Re: Medication hurting my weight loss.

I can understand how frustrated you are.  Losing weight is a challenge and, sometimes, medications we need produce negative side effects.  The weight loss may be slower, but it's not impossible.

The Pharmacist is the best board to post on first.  They are the real experts on medications.  They might have some suggestions you can present to your doctor as alternates to what you currently take -- that might have less side effects.

I realize you have some limitations to exercising so I suggest you post on the Fitness Specialists message board.  Let them know what the problem is with your neck, back and waist and they can suggest some appropriate activities for you.  Being more active will also help you feel better, and you'll be able to focus more positively on your diet.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you need anything else.
