Medication is hurting my weight loss

I am desperate and need losing weight help. I am currently on my 2nd bottle Alli plan, I lost some weight, but my meds

interfere with my weight loss. I eat healthy and I don't have treatments on the plan. I lost weight the first month but, last week I put all but 4 lbs back on. I take Cymbalta, Elavil, Eterdiol, Lisonpril, Neurontin, Enablex, Amirex, magnesium, Malic Acid and Multi-Vitamins.

I have limitations to exercising. I have neck, back, wrist and knew injuries.... along with Fibromalgia. I desperately need help... I am so frustrated I am crying and ashamed to get dressed because everything I own is too small now.

Re: Medication is hurting my weight loss

Hello. Sorry you are feeling discouraged......losing weight is a tough battle to fight. You are not alone. There are many people on these message boards who are fighting the battle with you. Many medications can make it difficult to lose weight. However, it is not iumpossible. Maybe if you spoke with an exercise physiologist, like the ones who are on the exercise message boards - they could help you find some form of movement that owuld help you burn some calories and work with your illness? They are experts - I am sure they could help with something. You need to find a balance between the calories you are consuming and the calories you are burning. That is the only way to really lose weight. Reducing the calories you are consuming may help as well. For the best assistance with that, you can talk with the dieticians on their message boards. Telling them exactly what you are eating will help them help you.

Lastly, I would ask if you have spoken to your doctor about trying to lose wieght. He or she my have some other suggestions.

I hope this helps a bit - take your time and gather all the information you need to fight the battle. You can do it! Just be patient and don't get too discouraged. That never helps! Keep a positive attitude and know that although it is not easy, you can do it.

    Best of health!
