Alex, Great job! Your are right, Alli works if you follow the program. I've dropped 16 lbs of my 25 lb goal, started 6/17. Went on 2 vacations and didn't start exercising at beginning. The weight is still melting off, and I figure I will meet my goal in 6 weeks or so. Keep up the good work, FOR LIFE!!! KK

I too lost 8 lbs my first week. It does taper off, but it is still coming off. I started 6/17, and have lost 16 of my 25 lb goal. Thats also with 2 vacations (I ate, a lot!) and I didn't start exercising until about a month into it. I figure I would have lost it all by now if it werent for the vacations and lack of exercise. Stick with it! It does work! KK

I think Betty is right. I had to switch from no fat cheese and stuff and low fat and I started losing again after the initial big loss. I'm down 15 lbs with only 10 to go. So far it has been pretty easy.

You have to love to chop to love South Beach. It got to be a drag. Now that I am on Alli diet, it is a different way of thinking...you can have tons of fruit, not much cheese and not many nuts. I've had to rethink most of my meals and especially snacks. I think long term I will have an easirer time sticking with the Alli plan.

I started on Alli before you, on June 17. Lost a ton the first 2 weeks, but then it tapered off to 1-2 per week. One week I didn't lose at all, and I upped my fat intake, esp at breakfast, and made sure I was eating the fat/calories the program called for. I am now down 15lbs, with 10 to go, and am dropping 1-2 per week. One night I also had a nice steak dinner, didn't take a pill, and I think that got me out of starvation mode. Didn't pig out, but had over my fat grams for sure. Stick
