Re: MONDAY WEIGH-IN

I did not loose any weight this week. I followed the diet but cut back on exercise. I fell down my steps and could not do my jazzercise. I guess excercise is the key. SW - 190 CW - 174 GW - 140

Fit Back Into My Jeans!

I didn't really realize how much weight I had put on until about October of last year. I was looking for something to wear and kept putting things in a discard pile because they didn't fit and then at Christmas time my husband and I were going to a dinner and I needed a new dress. Dress shopping was a nightmare! I did find a dress but when I looked at myself in the photos it was like a lightbulb went off! I was fat! I knew then I had to do something. I started Alli January 1 and have lost

Cranberry-Mandarin Jello

I am not sure of the calories in this but there is 0 fat. I have been making this for years for my father-in-law who is diabetic. It fulfills that sweet tooth monster! 2 small packages of sugar-free cranberry jello (strawberry also works), 1 can mandarin oranges, 1 can sugar-free jellied cranberry sauce, 1 cup boiling water, 1 1/2 cups diet lemon-lime soda I use a nice decorative bowl and mix this right in it. Chop up the cranberry sauce. Sprinkle jello on top and pour boiling water on top. Stir

London Broil W/Horseradish Sauce

This is my favorite meal to make. I buy a large london broil and cut it in half. Freeze one half and marinate the other. (That way there are very little leftovers-I will pick at this all night if there are too many leftovers) Yields 4 Servings, 225 calories and 10 fat grams each serving. Marinate london broil (1/2) in a resealable plastic bag overnight. I turn the bag everytime I go in the refrigerator to help distribute the marinade. Make sure you put the bag in a container or blood from the meat

Re: I need Help with Dinner---Bad!!!!

What recipe did you try over the weekend? We do eat mainly chicken and I do substitue ground turkey when I can sneak it in! I also eat pasta about once a week but now limit my portion. Another good source for recipes is Cooking Light magazine. I also buy Light&Tasty magazine. It's very hard to try new recipes all the time so I have only been trying one or two new recipes per week. If we like them, I plan on making them again, and if we don't I won't make it again. Each week gets easier

Re: I need Help with Dinner---Bad!!!!

I am so sorry you had such a bad night. I have a very picky husband so can relate to your issue. I have tried several diets in the past and always started out cooking 2 seperate meals, one for me and one for the family. This always led to me giving up. I was going to do the same thing here but received so much support from this forum that I have yet to fix a 2nd meal! One of them said her family eats what they want during the day but at night they have to eat a meal from her American Heart Association

Re: Help!

Ok, so I packed lunch for us: Turkey with low-fat swiss cheese on whole wheat bread with Grey Poupon. Fat-Free Cheddar and Sour Cream Chips and baby carrots. I also packed some pretzels for a snack later. I packaged everything in small snack-sized baggies so I would not just down the entire bag of chips or pretzels. We did hit a drive-thru for dinner-MCDONALD'S! I used the little book from the starter kit and was able to make a better choice here. I got a McChicken sandwich without mayo and a

Help!

I have to drive my daughter back to school Sunday and this will take all day, really. It is the first time I have had to make the trip since I have been on Alli. My husband has been doing this but he will be out of town. Prior to Alli, we would have just planned on eating dinner out before returning her to her dorm. I really don't want to go over my limit of calories or fat grams. I am not real familiar with the area she goes to school but really want to have a "plan" ahead of time
