I've always enjoyed walking, but once i've done it for a while, i really feel like i want to jog. I seem to be able to jog a lot better and longer on my treadmill rather than the blacktop paths. I'm assuming it's the softer surface of the treadmill....i used my music when i started jogging, working up to a full song. doesnt sound like much to people that run constantly, but the songs are long now, so i felt pretty good about it. I'm not sure how much i'll stick to jogging

Candace, i'm sorry for you loss...it's a tough time of the year for something like that to happen. Although I'm not hosting dinner tomorrow....we're getting ready to leave for FL on friday, so I've been trying to visit with my grands, get my Xmas cards ready to take with me and do in FL, not to mention I made 50 of them for a cairn site, and do the other 150 with store bought. I made the 50 today, decorated 4 Xmas trees, so they'll be done when i get back in a couple of weeks

LOL Candace, I'll take your friend when you're done with her!!!! I've been changing up my exercise this week in hopes it will get me over the hump. Along with journaling and keeping better track of things, i'm really hoping to get into the 160's on tuesdays weigh in. I hope it doesnt backfire on me like it usually does when i really start doing extra work. That is so disapointing when that happens. I do need to work on the water thing though, i really suck at that. Especially

well crap, that was short lived!!! Back to 170.8......my own darn fault too. I've been so busy in the last month, guess i wasnt paying attention. Soooo, i have started journaling today and did phase one of slim in 6, which was more like.....Dead in 10min!!! The last stretching when my head is hanging down, both dogs were leaping at my face.....dopes!!! LOL So back in the grind.....i sure wish i had a local buddy....maybe i should place an ad...."wanted, fat girlfriend....email me. whatta

This is such a common thing, we all go through it....I am right now too. I think we just get tired of thinking about it all the time. It's hard to make new routines and a new way of life.....heck, we're use to the old one!!! It's hard to keep pumped up like we are in the beginning. If you have a buddy to work out with that would be good, I know it would help me too. Just hang in there and keep on the forum to talk it out. We're all here and we're all in the same boat!!! terry

Ruth, you are right, i was very busy these last two weeks. I got on the scale this morning before he headed out and it said 169.....I sure hope it stays there till I get weighed on tuesday! I havent been in the 60's in years!!! It was very exciting to see it. I'm trying to be good while riding in the car...it aint easy either!!! I did have about 1/2 oz of almonds....geeeze louise those things make me gassy!!!!! I think it's the combo of almonds and alli....what a pain!!! I feel like a

Hi Ruth.....I feel sorta like a cow.....I've been doing a little walking, but that's about it. I've had so much work going on with the move. I laugh at how i had my zumba dvd's sent here, like when in the heck did i think i'd have time or energy to do those!!!! LOL Oh well.....We'll be leaving FL on saturday and heading home to IL....then maybe things will get back to normal....for at least two weeks that is. How's things with you and your sister, are you keeping up on

empowering is right!!! Whenever I've worked out, did a little extra, and darn it...ran'/walked that 13k saturday, I felt empowered!!! It makes you feel so good mentally and that is most of the game. Loosing weight is a mind game!!! Get that part down and you have it made. good for you for walking!!!!! terry
