Hey Ready, I've lost 53 lbs since Jan 1 which includes a couple months of just maintaining the weight and I have a few hints for you. One is to log all your foods on www.fitday.com What I like about this site is it breaks down the carbs, protein and fat percentages. Start logging them and you may be surprised that you are eating too much % of one and not enough of the other... I did a lot of back and forth at the beginning with the nutritionists and moderators and finally got these figures which

I am here and still trying. I lost one pound this week which is fine for me. I pulled all my neck muscles and am in pain. I can't even walk without pain. No way can I climb my hills and do the stairs. I have my first P.T. appointment tomorrow. In addition, my partner is now cooking up a storm since she is no longer in grad school and has the time. It is up to me to limit how much I eat but it is hard! So we all have difficulties and need to hang in there, esp. with Thanksgiving 2 weeks away!

Not doing so well this week. Pulled all my neck muscles so can't exercise at all. On my period too so extra fat and bloaty. Gained a pound which I know probably temporary. Won't give up. How is everyone else doing?

Thanks for sharing! Is it 50 something because of weight loss or age? I'm 47 years old.... I am getting more into exercise too and then get days where I just don't want to do a thing! But each day is a new chance to make the right choice so I will continue...sooo close and yet sooo far!

Good for you Deb! I am trying to not eat carbs after 6pm but am not being very successful at it. I don't think I realistically can, I feel too empty. Protein and veggies only just don't do it for me... :-(

Can I play. I lost 50lbs since Jan1 but came to a stop around the beginning of Sept. I did not gain anything significant back but did have to go through the 10 steps again and now my alli counter doesn't reflect my weight since Jan1. That is ok, I like www.fitday.com better anyway. So now I am 'floating' between 190-192 for the past 2 weeks and just trying to get into that 180 range. It seems the longer I go the slower the weight loss is. I exercise, started measuring my food again, but

That is how it seems to work once your body 'catches' up with the higher weight loss. I've loss 52lbs since Jan 1 and spend 2 months at the same level so I feel your pain. When I decided to 'kick start' it again, I did several things. Track your food again. I had stopped tracking it and using the excellent tracker at www.fitday.com since I was so comfortable with what I was eating. It makes a difference. Start measuring again too, you may be surprised. Kick up the exercise a notch

My partner is the same way, she shows affection by feeding. (She is Italian) The best thing that happened is when she went back for her MBA and was too busy to cook for 2 years! I then did all the cooking, started alli and so far have lost 52 lbs. I have between 20 and 40 more to go. So here is what I do. I have my deserts to eat when she eats hers. I have my freeze pops, fruit and yogurt, whatever and ignore anything she eats. If she is eating a fattening dinner, I make my own. If I am really dying
