Re: help

I absolutely KFC so I know what you mean. What if you brought a salad in a bag and then cut up a piece or two of chicken and put it in the salad, just don't eat the skin (the crispy skin, the best part) and I think it would be fine. And low cal dressing of course :)

Re: A little discouraged today, but not going to quit!!

Hi Tammy, 15 pounds is great. I would be jumping for joy if I were you. When I lost weight last time, as soon as I lost 10 pounds that was it. I wouldn't even think of putting a donut or a potato chip in my mouth. That is my problem. I have to just lose the first 10 pounds and then it is easy for me to stay on track. It is just near impossible to lose the first 10. Congratulations on your new house, that you are in the process of buying. If you have any helpful hints for me, pass them on, I need

Re: What am I doing right???

Great topic. I hope people get very specific. I exercise 4 or 5 days a week but exercise has never helped me lose even one pound. With me, it all about what I eat. Exercise does tone me up and make me tight though so that is a plus. I get headaches when I am hungry so it is difficult for me to stay on a 1400 calorie intake program. Katie

Re: What am I doing wrong???

You said: I'll have to buy Lisa Rinna's book too - I am always looking for good suggestions. One sweet treat I just discovered is 100 calorie snow puffs - yes, the chocolate cake thing with marshmallow and coconut on top. I used to love those things growing up and low and behold they have 100 calorie ones with only 2 grams of fat. It cures my sugar and chocolate cravings all in one shot. I leave a stash in my car for that long ride home I have and after sitting in a warm car all day they

Re: What am I doing wrong???

Glad everything seems back to normal. On a happier note, I tried skinny cow ice cream last night and it was very good. Also I am reading Lisa Rinna's new book, she has some good diet and exercise and food tips in it. Of course my diet has not been all that successful yet but that is mostly my fault since I know from the past I have to get down to about 1000 calories a day to lose weight and that takes me a while to "agree" to do. I have exercised 5 out of 7 day for the past 3 weeks

Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~Maryalicia starting 14 June 09

Hi Maryalicia, where can I buy PGX? It sounds like something I would like to try. it is a fiber pill you say and it makes you feel full (so that you won't overeat?). That is exactly what I need. I have a real sweet tooth and am so used to starting my day with a donut or sometimes two! Congratulations on your success. Katie

Re: New to Alli... and in need of a pep talk!

I think if you take it one day, one hour at a time you can do it. Forgot about going for a jog, just go for a walk :) Even 15 minutes a day is good as a start. I myself have to get serious with Alli. I have been taking it for about 3 weeks. 5 years ago I lost 40 pounds but I did it on my own, without Alli. Unfortunately I gained 30 pounds back so here I am again. It seems like something different works for every person. With me, I had to plan what I was going to eat the day before or else I would

Re: What am I doing wrong???

Everyone is different. When I lost 40 pounds (on my own) I had a big breakfast and used most of my calories up there., then had a medium lunch and a small dinner. Some people need to start their day with a lot of calories to get them going, it is not a bad thing, really. As long as you stay in your calorie range it doesn't matter so much when you eat them.

Re: Just bought my alli today..doing WW and exercise...

I have been reading these boards and Cheri, I have the same eating habits as you, it is hard for me to stay away from fried chicken and ice cream and I am not big on veggies or fruits. A day without cookies is very hard for me. I try to eat just one biscotti each morning to get rid of my cravings. Can you share what you are eating to get over your cravings?
