Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~Maryalicia starting 14 June 09

Same here Michelle - haven't posted in awhile. Flare-ups of my COPD due to this humid, muggy weather has gotten me down these past couple of weeks. I haven't been eating very well either since I really haven't felt up to cooking, so I've flipped-flopped, gained two lbs-lost two lbs for two weeks in a row! Having migraines also, I also think is due to the weather, my fibromyalgia and not eating right. But the good news is I'm down 23lbs since I started on June 2nd! Hopefully I'l

Re: I started alli today - Any 50+ grandmas need a buddy?

Hi Kat- Well - I think I learned an important leason - yesterday I felt terrible!! A really bad day. I think I should only clean a couple of days and then take at least a day off, maybe two. When I'm feeling okay, I tend to forget that my body just isn't the same anymore and I overdo. But I found a new use for Clorox wipes - they take the tarnish of off silver!! - without scrubbiing. I was going to just wipe the dust off the top and the wipes came off grey with the tarnish and the silver

Re: I started alli today - Any 50+ grandmas need a buddy?

Hi Kat- Not much going on here. Still thunderstorms in the late afternoons or nights - that means Cooper is not eating and is hiding again under the table between the sofas with only his little head peaking out! It's supposed to clear up this weekend but then storm all next week, so he'll get a break for a couple of days at least. I'm glad you're back on the alli. I know it's slow, but it does seems to work better than not being on it. I know what you mean about being impatient

Re: I started alli today - Any 50+ grandmas need a buddy?

Hi Kat- My sister and I had a great weekend, it was good seeing her and my brother-in-law too. Mother had my daughter and her family, my aunt Judy and my crazy aunt Nancy over to her house Sat night for pizza around 6:00. Dianne and I ate salad of course! But Nancy, being Nancy didn't talk to anyone, ate one slice of pizza and some salad, sat there for awhile and then said she had to go home to eat her "big" meal ! We don't know what she meant because she rarely eats anything! Oh

Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~Maryalicia starting 14 June 09

Hi everyone- I have'nt checked in in awhile. Started June 1st and I'm down 18lbs but nobody has noticed. I even had a 3 month dr's appt yesterday and was down 25lbs from the last appt and he didn't even say anything-I'm not that fond of him anyway!! My clothes are baggy and I'm wearing some I couldn't before and my rings are falling off, so I'm happy! Plan is going well, not depriving myself -know this is a lifelong battle-eating what I want just fixing it differently

Re: Looking for high protein, moderate fat but low carb foods please...

But if I mantain no more than that I'm okay. I get alot of recipies from www3fatchicks.com and wwwhungrygirl.com they are both really good sites, have good tasting recipies and give all the nutisional info you need. Hope this helps

Re: I started alli today - Any 50+ grandmas need a buddy?

Hi Kat- News on the homefront! went to my mother's today and got an update on my crazy aunt Nancy (lots of stories about her!! on a slower day) but fist the backstory. She is in her 70's, she raised her whole life in my grandmother's house until she died, was never socialized with others because of her "epilesy" that no one ever saw but my grandmother. But she did later, much later in life go to a christian bible school and get her degree and become a teacher and taught 2nd

Re: I started alli today - Any 50+ grandmas need a buddy?

Hi Kat, I do enjoy chating with you alot also. As for writing, don't think so, although when I was working I worked in a gastroentrology lab, the guy that worked with me couldn't stop laughing at my stories! and they were just things that had happened the day before in my life. Needless to say I have a BIG family and NONE of them are what you would call normal by any streatch of the imagnation. Cooper hid the whole morning after the storm between the two sofas, he didn't even peek his
