Re: ~*~June Alli Beginners~*~Maryalicia starting 14 June 09

I started 6/15 and am down 43 lbs...I never thought I would make it this far or that it would become such a way of life for me...the eating part has not been too hard (knock on wood) - its the energy to exercise - though because i am on a workout plan, I do manage to workout 4-5 times a week, but there are days where it takes every ounce I have to do it. The results have been so worth it though...

Re: Wii

Hi, I am currenly using the Wii for exercise - I purchased the EA sports Active - I am on my 3rd 30 day challenge - I started on easy for 30, medium for 30 and now I am on my last week on the hard - this is by far a workout - my muscles are more defined and as of this morning have lost 43 lbs since 6/15/09 (my start date for both). I felt the wii fit was a good way to get moving but was not really a workout. Active also will have an expansion pack coming in November which will incorporate stretching

Re: Checking in

Hi Ladies! I hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to share that I reached my first mini goal with my check in this morning and I am so excited. My daughter escpecially has been cheering me along. She was able to hug me for the first time and was easily able to wrap her arms all the way around me - I don't know which one of us were more excited. It was a good feeling.

Re: I binged at a birthday party. Now what do I do?

I agree with dlp - do not let one day deter you. Learn from the day and just get back on track - try to exercise more this week if possible and make sure you stay on track the rest of the week. If you just think of a few months ago - you probably would not have thought twice about what you ate and probably would have done a whole lot worse then what you did. It is baby steps, and just like a baby, we stumble along the way, but it is our power to perservere and get back up and try again that brings

Re: Any issues w/ taking the multivitamin at nite?

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I posted this about a month ago and no one seemed to have this issue. I was having major issues taking my multi vitamin at nite - could not get to sleep for hours. I switched to a gel tab womens vitiam and seemed to help - between that and my body adjusting to the vitamins now, I am at a point where I can take them and it not impact your sleeping. Give it a couple weeks (which I know is easier said then done)

Re: **Invitation** ~ MOMS with kids at home let's circle together!!

I would love to join this group...I am a mom of 3 ages 9,7 and 3 and I work full time. I am fortunate though because my employer lets me work out of my house. It has proven to be difficult at times, but all in all it is a huge perk. I began my alli journey on 6/15/09 and have lost 28 lbs to date. I still have 120 or so more to lose, which is overwhelming when I think of it as whole, but know that I will get there this time. I have set my mini goals in 10% weight loss incriments and am 4 pounds from

Kinda messed up

Well my family and I went to Chili's for dinner tonight...it was my first time there and boy was I overwhelmed by their menu - my husband and I took part in their 2 for $20 3 course special and we shared with our 3 children. I was feeling like I didn't make the best choices as I was enjoying my meal, but once I got home and figured it all out, I blew it on a meal basis but I still managed to be under my calories for the day and only 5 grahams over in fat. I was completey satisfied and stuffed

Re: Anyone seeing weight loss results yet?

I am down 21 lbs in 5 weeks...I am feeling pretty good. The best part is that I am still just as motivated as day 1. For me, to go 5 weeks and not feel worn out from dieting is a major milestone. Though, I am looking at this as a lifestyle change, not a diet. :-)

Re: Plateau 3 weeks in?

If you have incorporated exercise, it is most likey that you are gaining muscle mass which is balancing out your fat loss. I would suggest you also take measurements as a unit of measuring your progress...sometimes the scale is just not going to give you the number to keep you motivated. Especially when you think you are on the right track. Don't be discouraged!
