Passed a kidney stone

Last week while on vacation I experienced the worst pain ever! What seemed like the flu turned out to be a kidney stone. I passed it the following day. I was planning on beginning alli the week that I passed the stone, but thought I would wait at least a week to allow my body to get back to normal. I did read the label and noticed it had a warning about kidney stones. I feel fine now, and there is no history of stones in my family. This was the first time I have ever had this experience. My question

Re: Confused.....Help!!!

It all depends on the foods you are eating. The reason you feel like vomiting is because you are forcing yourself to eat a lot of foods that are low in fat. Therefore you have to eat more in order to get the fat grams in. Try to vary your foods so that some are higher in fat. Don't misunderstand and take that as eating very fatty foods because you will then experience TEs. For example, try to add light oils to salads, or choose low fat instead of fat free. Add a few nuts to your diet. I know

What is that SMELL?

So I am going to lay this out there........I know that poop does not smell like roses, however I do find that since being on alli, my poop smells worse than it ever did before! Sorry for getting so personal, but has anyone else experienced this? I figured it was due to the body getting rid of the extra fat, but man oh man, I didn't see this side effect listed on the bottle. Yikes!

Re: when to take alli?

It doesn't matter...before, during, after. The pill will work within two hours of that meal. So that means, anything you eat within two hours of taking the pill will count toward your fat, so be careful. Review your starter pack books, or surf the site for helpful information. Hope this helps.-Mel

Re: Every night around 10 p.m.

Hi Cheryl- What I normally do is make a shake in the blender. I use 1 cup of skim milk, handful of ice cubes, 1 whole banana and a few straberries. Blend it all together and wha-la, a yummy, healthy drink to hold you over. There are many variations to this as well such as adding yogurt. If you have a Shaws supermarket near by, they also sell these smoothie packets (near the bananas) that you can add in for extra flavor. Hope this helps with the cravings. =) -Mel

Need a reminder

Hi Friends- I am back on alli after taking a long leave of absense....I don't know why I ever stopped because I was doing so well (down 15 lbs at that time). Anyhow, I am back and ready for the commitment. I just need a little refresher. If the meal has less than 5 grams of fat, do I still take the pill. Most of my breakfasts consist of less than 5 grams and I don't think I took the pill with it in the past. Just wondering since I don't want to waste any pills. Thanks! -Mel

Re: Coffee

I have one cup a day and use the fat free coffee mate creamer. I don't measure because I know that one cup will not do me in. I don't add any sugar either. I do take it with skim milk sometimes but I like my coffee light and the skim milk doesn't always cut it.

Re: GETTING SMALLER, No TIME for exercise.

Hey FLYROBINFLY- I understand because I am in the same position..minus the children. I am a teacher who usually works until 7:00 pm everyday. I have a 20 minute commute, not bad, but then have to walk the dog, feed him and start dinner since my husband doesn't get home until 8:00. Then I have to clean up after him because he doesn't do **** but thats another story for a different day. Anyway by the time I am done it is already 9:00. I tried going to the gym at this time but don't get
