All I can offer is - make sure you're taking your multvitamin before bed! It helps a lot. Other than that, maybe try some of those energy drinks - sparingly, since they're carb-rich. At least they're not loaded with corn syrup, just fruit juices.

Okay, then I'm not alone. Except that it's been two YEARS since my last period and now I'm spotting. I had been checked for pre-menopause a few months ago, and was told that I was actually fully entrenched in menopause. So I was a little freaked out - now, not so much.

I started out not taking any vitamins, and had a really hard time losing weight until I DID start taking them. I use One-A-Day Weight Smart vitamins, making sure to take one before bed like GSK recommends in the diet plan. I'm not following their diet plan, but just using it for ideas on how to adjust my food intake. It's working. Indi

I have had amazing results from using alli as a way to help me lose weight. Ten pounds down already! Because I hadn't signed up for this online thing when I started, I've been keeping track of my progress over on FitDay, and you're welcome to check it out if you want. http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJournals.html?Owner=halcyonsting You'll see that I'm eating way more carbs than protein, and that does work for me. I try to keep it to healthy carbs, with small amounts of simple

I've lost eight so far, started on June 26th. I've been using FitDay to keep track of all my intake, because I had lost the booklet for a bit and couldn't register on Myalli right away. I've been eating an average of 1150 cals/day, and I'm keeping a basic average of 30% fat, 23%protein, 48%carbs for my daily meals. I'm pretty happy with alli, needless to say. And proud of myself for finally being determined and proactive about my weight.

I'd just keep plugging away and see what happens. What you might try is varying your carb intake vs. protein intake, and keep the fats low. Personally, I think the amount of fat recommended in the booklets is too high... I'm doing less than 30g per day, and I'm losing like crazy without even doing any walking or exercise. Keep in mind, also, that you could be building muscle mass by walking, and muscle is heavier than fat - that could be where the gain is coming from. Another thing I've

Yes, 9g is the total amount of fat. Then it's separated out into Saturated, Polyunsaturated, Monounstaturated and TransFat, and those numbers only relate to the original 9g. I still haven't come across any nutrition labels that actually account for the total grams of fat - usually they'll just list a little bit in the Poly and Monounsaturated fats, and you wonder where the rest of the fat should be listed.

Lisa, don't give up. I'm not a dietitian, but as a person who's done just about every diet out there, I can tell you that you'll find your magic bullet. Some people do better eating low carb/hi protein. Others do better on high complex carbs and lower protein. Try different ways, or see your doctor and ask if there might be another problem (thyroid?) that's keeping you from losing. I started alli a week ago and have lost 8 lbs. Sure, some is water weight, but it really does work
