Hi Barbie I had the same problem when I first started. (1800 cal. 60g fat), Now. I'm beginning my fourth week, and let me tell you, I feel as if I've been to nutrition school. This program is like balancing a cup of water on my head. The first week, I lost 4 pounds; the second, I stayed the same; and the third week, I lost 3 pounds. I really wanted this program to work for me, so after the second week when my weight stayed the same, I began charting calories, fat grams, carbohydrate grams

Hi Alex! Thank you so much! I admire your determination and careful planning. Your gender should not negate all of your efforts. I'm sure that you are challenged just like anyone else, and have had to make the necessary sacrifices. Thank you for sharing and inspiring ME! Stay strong! Janet

Don't give up! Nothing is perfect. Just think by December, you could be so much lighter or heavier. It is ultimately your choice. What have you got to lose? Those 8 lbs should count toward something. Best wishes! Janet

Hey Ricky! Great perspective. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Alli is right for me because I am committing to the plan. If I do the same thing I did before, I WILL get the same results; little or no weight loss. Meal time, I come as close to the fat grams and calories as I can. Snack time, is when I use the lowfat options. I know and am willing to put in the work of planning. Alli is only for those who are SERIOUS about losing weight patiently. Journaling really made me realize every bite, lick

Today is my first Sunday check-in, and I'm down 4 lbs; 196 to 192. I'm very happy with Alli, and actually enjoy "playing the numbers" when I record in my journal. Each day I get better and better. Due to a sciatica problem, I was unable to exercise at all this week. I plan to walk a mile three times this week. Blessings to all. Janet

Hi Mystic. I've been suffering for the past 3 1/2 weeks with this thing. It's a monkey on my back! Literally! I normally exercise 6 days out of the week. Can I tell you that I have been sidelined? I miss the benefits of a really good workout. Every day I yearn to do something, but I'm still dragging my leg. Such pain I 've never felt before. Inspite of sciatica, I am working the Alli program and do some very mild stretching. What else can you do? I'm on a muscle relaxant and a

Annalisa, you are a Monalisa, in that you made so many smile and realize their worth. Thank you so much for the positive words. I am so tired of reading the negative entries. In fact, I've decided to avoid all subject references with negative connotations. The positive comments cause me to reach inside myself and stretch beyond my capabilities. You have watered many flowers today! Thank you! I will strive and do everyhting I can possibly do to obtain a loss of 40 pounds by Jan. 2008. I will be

Thank you on your insights, Jack. You do know "Jack"! :) I agree with you wholeheartedly! After reading so many of the entries, I've come to realize that the people who negate Alli are primarily the ones who are not willing to do the "work" that is mandatory fo the success of this program. They blame Alli, because then they can't be held accountable. And it becomes easier to give up I have never really been diligent about keeping a journal, but now I recognize the importance

Thank you for that valuable info, Betty! I started Alli on 8/2/07. I'm also on Jenny Craig. The whole premise of Alli makes a lot of sense. I believe that I, like so many others have been doing wrong for so long that we've convinced ourselves that it's right; a little brainwashed. So, I decided to work Alli the way it's supposed to be worked. It's a new program that deserves a new mindset. My first order of business was to journal and then see what work I needed to do to reach
